80:20 Development in an Unequal World – Book Series

The longest running title series in Ireland on development issues, currently in its 7th edition, 80:20 Development in an Unequal World has been a staple of the development education landscape since the early 1980s when it was produced out of the Development Education Commission of CONGOOD, (now Dóchas) in 1984 and originally titled 75:25 Ireland in an Unequal World.

A series was born out of a collaboration between international development NGOs with an interest and focus on making the realities of their work on challenging inequality and injustice accessible, it has run consistently for more than 30 years and updates key ideas, findings and debates on ‘overdevelopment’ and ‘underdevelopment’.

The series continues to be used in over 20 countries worldwide including USA, UK, Canada, South Korea, Brazil, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Ireland and Australia.
